Anchor LocatorAgreement
These terms govern your use of the Anchor Locator Chrome extension (the "extension"), Anchor Locator Pro, and this website. They are an agreement between you and Kent Rabe, an independent developer based in the Philippines ("we", "us"). By installing or using the extension, or buying Pro, you agree to these terms. If you use Anchor Locator on behalf of a company, you agree on its behalf.
What Anchor Locator is
Anchor Locator is a browser extension that generates XPath locators from a target element and an anchor element you choose, and includes a Recorder that exports test scripts for Playwright, Selenium and Cypress. All locator features are free. The Recorder is free for 10 recorded steps in total (a lifetime allowance that does not reset; assertions count as steps), and Anchor Locator Pro removes that limit.
License to use the extension
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the extension for personal or commercial work, including at your job. You agree not to:
- resell, sublicense or redistribute the extension or a Pro license key;
- share a license key beyond its allowed activations or circumvent the Recorder step limit or license checks;
- use the extension to break the law or to access systems you're not authorised to test.
Your locators and scripts
The locators, recordings and scripts you create with Anchor Locator belong to you. You can use them in any project without attribution.
Pro plans and payment
Anchor Locator Pro is available as:
- Pro Monthly, $8 per month, billed monthly until you cancel; or
- Pro Lifetime, a one-time payment of $49, which includes every future Pro feature for as long as Anchor Locator is offered.
Merchant of record. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Lemon Squeezy (Lemon Squeezy, LLC), which is the merchant of record for all orders. Lemon Squeezy handles payment, billing, invoices, sales tax and VAT, and customer service inquiries about payments and returns. Lemon Squeezy's own terms apply to your purchase in addition to these terms.
Prices and taxes. Prices are in US dollars. Applicable taxes are calculated and collected by Lemon Squeezy at checkout. If we change the monthly price, we'll give existing subscribers notice before the new price applies to their next renewal. Price changes never affect a Lifetime license you've already bought.
Cancelling. You can cancel Pro Monthly at any time from the link in your Lemon Squeezy receipt or customer portal. Pro stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, and no further charges are made.
Activations. A Pro license can be active on up to 3 browsers at a time. The extension checks the license with Lemon Squeezy and keeps working offline for up to 7 days between checks.
When Pro ends. Everything you've recorded stays in the extension and stays exportable. Recording new steps beyond the free allowance needs an active Pro plan.
Refunds
Both Pro plans come with a 14-day, no-questions-asked refund. See the refund policy for details.
Privacy
The extension runs locally and page data never leaves your browser. Our privacy policy explains exactly what is and isn't collected.
Updates and availability
We may update the extension to fix bugs, add features or keep up with browser changes. We'll try to keep Anchor Locator available and working, but we can't promise it will be uninterrupted or that it will work on every website. If we ever stop offering Anchor Locator, Pro Monthly billing will stop, and we'll give at least 30 days' notice where we can.
Disclaimer
The extension is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Generated locators and scripts are a starting point: you're responsible for reviewing them and for how you use them in your tests.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or business, arising from your use of Anchor Locator. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
Termination
You can stop using Anchor Locator at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or revoke a Pro license that is used in breach of these terms, for example if a key is shared or resold.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled by the competent courts of the Philippines, unless the consumer protection laws of your country give you the right to bring a claim where you live.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll post the new version on this page with a new date. If a change is material, we'll give reasonable notice before it takes effect. Continuing to use Anchor Locator after that means you accept the updated terms.
